VICTORIA CONSERVATORY OF MUSIC PRESENTS

Bach, PacheIbel and Guardian Angels-Baroque Programme Faculty Concert

Members of Victoria Baroque and Pacific Baroque Orchestra come together for an unforgettable evening of baroque music from around Europe. Programme includes exquisite arias by Bach and Vivaldi sung by the celebrated Canadian contra-alto Vicki St Pierre; Biber’s otherworldly “Guardian Angel” Passacaglia; exhilarating instrumental numbers by Handel, Couperin and Rameau; and a rare performance of Pachelbel’s beloved Canon performed on the instruments it was originally written for.

“Contra-alto St. Pierre’s voice invitingly combines clarity of expression and beauty of tone.”

NOTE: For this concert, the entrance to Alix Goolden Performance Hall is at 900 Johnson Street
