Salish Sea RV Haven (Formerly Westbay RV Park & Marine Village)
This site has been newly re-opened as the Salish Sea RV Haven. It was completely re-constructed from the ground-up going from around 63 sites to 36 sites. New concrete pads and lots of space with manicured grass between each site makes for luxurious accommodations.
There is a new building currently under construction which will house the washrooms, showers, laundry.
It’s a great location, with most sites facing directly onto the ocean. A walk along the West Song Walkway will take you downtown in about 45 minutes.
It’s a stunning location, but as a former resident of the old West Bay RV park, I feel it’s lost a lot of it’s charm with the new up-dates. Sure … it’s clean, big and has 50-amp service. But with the removal of the trees and shrubs, it feels very sterile to me. And the prices are high – too high for this RV’er.
But I’m sure it will still appeal to the big-rig visitors as the sites are large and the location can’t be beat.
