Year round temperate climate, amazing bike paths like the Galloping Goose, the Lochside Trail, the E&N Trail, mountain bike parks, dedicated bike lanes on many streets, low traffic corridors and neighbourhoods, each with their own distinctive personality, make Victoria a biker’s paradise.

1. The Pedaler – Victoria by Bike

The Pedaler maintains a large fleet of stylish rental bikes: comfortable urban cruisers, single speeds (fixie style) and hybrids. All bike rentals include a helmet, lock, map and friendly advice on cycling routes.

If you are planning a picnic and need to carry extra items we have panniers available to rent. We also have ponchos – because cycling in the rain is not just for kids!

2.  Coastal Cycles Bike Shop

They rent all types of bikes, race bikes,  hybrid bikes, tandems, trail-a-bikes and trailers for the  Galloping Goose Trail, Lochside Trail,  or anywhere else on Vancouver Island.

All bike rentals include helmet, flat repairs kits, and locks. Bike racks for cars are available for an additional fee. Please call for details

They have free parking by the day or longer, and are 500 feet to the Galloping Goose Trail. You shouldn’t start your ride anywhere else. Go out for an hour, a full day, or a week. The best rates in the Victoria area.  New bikes every season. Free maps and helpful advice to get you started.

3.  Sports Rent

Sports Rent has a large selection of bicycles for rent year round! Along with bike rentals, SPORTS RENT also has tandems, trail-a-bikes, child trailers and other bike accessories. Bike maps and directions for the Galloping Goose Trail and Lockside Trail are available.

Bike rentals include helmet, lock, pump, map and repair kits.

4.  Oak Bay Cycles

At their  Victoria Oak Bay location, they have a well stocked  rental fleet of high end road and both full suspension and hard tail mountain bikes , along with Norco City Glides, in men’s and women’s bikes for your cruising pleasure!

All road bikes come equipped with a seat-bag (including spare tube, CO2 inflator, cartridge and tire levers), and two water-bottle cages. Please bring your own pedals and we will be happy to install them. Toe clips or platform pedals are available for those who do not have their own.
