Victoria is a paradise for golfers – as you can pretty much golf year-round!

Below is a listing of courses to check out:

1.  Uplands Golf Club – 3300 Cadboro Bay Rd., Victoria, BC

This is a ‘members only’ club but with reciprocal courses – so if you belong to one of those, you are eligible to golf here.  Check the website for a listing of these reciprocal courses.

2.  Victoria Golf Club – 1110 Beach Drive, Victoria, BC

3.  Cedar Hill Golf Course – 1400 Derby Rd. Victoria, BC

Cedar Hill Golf Course is a 5,200 yard, par 67 course, located 10 minutes from downtown Victoria and open year round for public play.

We are a full facility, 18 hole golf course offering CPGA lessons and affordable green fee golf. We also host tournaments. For non-golfers, the course is surrounded by a picturesque 3.5 km (2.2 mile) chip trail. Whether you’re a walker, runner or nature enthusiast, you won’t want to miss the wonderful views this wooded trail offers.

The Clubhouse includes a licensed light food service for golfers and the general public together with tasty buffet choices for golf and non-golf events alike. For further information call 250-475-7156.

4.  Gorge Vale Golf Course – 1005 Craigflower Rd., Victoria, BC

 

Gorge Vale Golf Club is one of Victoria’s premier golf facilities. Designed by A. Vernon Macan in 1927, this championship golf course offers our members and guests a traditional, picturesque golf course with premium playing conditions. The undulating terrain and challenging layout ensures every hole is different, providing a real test for golfers of all skill levels.

Since A. Vernon Macan’s original design, Gorge Vale has constantly been taking steps to enhance the playing characteristics of the course and clubhouse amenities. A 2001 renovation of the course by golf architect Les Furber, solidified Gorge Vale’s reputation as one of the best golf layouts on Vancouver Island. Gorge Vale is not just a place to play great golf; to our members it’s a second home.

5.  Metchosin Golf & Country Club – 4100 Metchosin Rd. Victoria, BC  (in the municipality of Metchosin)

Metchosin Golf & Country Club offers a challenging and picturesque 9-hole course where our exceptional service and friendly staff will make your golf experience a memorable one.

Several significant upgrades have been made to the course over the years, resulting in an exceptionally attractive and enjoyable course. Metchosin GC has that rare quality of being challenging for the avid golfer yet forgiving for the inexperienced golfer.

The course makes you test each of your clubs through wide fairways and undulating greens. The clubhouse offers a great casual setting to cater your banquet, special event, or golf tournament, and we are only a 25 minute drive from downtown beautiful Victoria!

8.  Olympic View Golf Club – 643 Latoria Rd., Victoria, BC (in the municipality of Colwood)

Located on the southern tip of Vancouver Island, the Olympic View Golf Club offers expansive views of surrounding landscape including the Pacific Ocean and Washington State’s Olympic Mountains. Situated just west of Victoria’s downtown core, the club is easily accessible from world class accommodations such as the renowned Empress Hotel. The mild winters and warm breezy summers make Victoria a wonderful place to visit and Olympic View a great course to play any time of the year.

9.  Highland Pacific Golf Course – 450 Creed Rd., Victoria, BC

 

Highland Pacific Golf was created for golfers who want to enjoy a scenic, challenging championship golf course that is playable all year round. Highland Pacific overlooks the majestic Olympic Mountains, the Strait of Juan de Fuca and Thetis Lake Park. Don’t let the views distract you…this course has some surprises in store!

The Pacific Nine, with its incredible vistas and rolling fairways, was opened in October 2008 and the Highland Nine opened June , 2010. Total course length is 6,603 yards with six different sets of tee markers for all skill levels.

10.  Cordova Bay Golf Course – 5333 Cordova Bay Rd., Victoria, BC

We, here at Cordova Bay, are proud to offer a relaxed atmosphere, stunning course conditions and spectacular views. The grass is short in the places it should be and long in others. The trees are beautiful to look at and challenging to hit from. Mt. Baker rises imperiously from the horizon, daring you to match its perfection with every shot you hit. As a certified Audubon Sanctuary (the first on Vancouver Island, in fact) we offer you wildlife almost as beautiful as the gardens kept by our award winning grounds crew.

11.  Royal Colwood Golf Club – 629 Goldstream, Victoria, BC (located in the municipality of Colwood)

Royal Colwood Golf Club is a private golf club located in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. Designed by Arthur Vernon Macan in 1913, Royal Colwood is a traditional style parklands championship course set amongst 450 year old douglas firs and majestic garry oaks. One of a select few in the world, Royal Colwood received its Royal designation from King George V in 1931.
