ITALIAN RESTAURANTS

There are some first-class Italian restaurants in Victoria.

Here is a sampling in no particular order:  (Please check with TripAdvisor or Yelp for reviews)

Il Terrazzo – 555 Johnson St.

Hours:  Lunch Mon – Fri 11:30 – 3  Dinner daily at 5 p.m

Fine Italian dining in an old town courtyard setting. Dine by candlelight beside one of our six brick fireplaces.

Reservations are highly recommended.

Il Terrazzo thanks Victoria for continuously voting us Victoria’s Best Italian Restaurant. We offer an internationally acclaimed wine list, and a menu offering Northern Italian cuisine, featuring wood-oven roasted meats and pizza, home-made pasta, and fresh West Coast seafood.

Pagliacci’s – Broad & Fort St.

Hours:   Lunch 11:30 am – 3:00 pm  Dinner 5:30 – 10:00 pm, till 11:00 pm Friday and Saturday
Sunday Brunch 10:00 am – 3:00 pm   Daily except Yom Kippur and Christmas

Pagliacci’s is one of those timeless places, born in passion, carved from life and bathed in laughter. From the foccacia bread and soup through the Broadway-style cheesecake, every morsel is made on the spot, served with style by someone hustling for you. And there’s more than enough pasta or steak to bring home to Lassie. Step back into history. This is what it used to be like before franchises.

Il Covo Trattoria – 106 Superior St.

Hours:  Dinners:  Mon – Sun from 5 pm  (Garden Patio Open When Weather Permits)

Located in the historic area of downtown and steps from the Inner Harbour, Il Covo Trattoria is a memorable and unique Italian dining experience. Being a Trattoria, we’re the perfect spot for any occasion where you can enjoy casual, rustic Italian cuisine in a warm old world Tuscan ambience.

We also offer a beautiful garden patio for outdoor eating in an al fresco Italian style. Come and enjoy a taste of Italy!

Fiamo – 515 Yates

Hours: KITCHEN HOURS 4pm – 2am Daily   Full menu available 4pm-12am.  Artisan pizza available 4pm-2am.

Whatever your passion may be, Fiamo has something for you. For food lovers we offer a rustic Italian menu in an authentic Tuscan tradition. For wine lovers we offer all your favourite BC vintages, or choose from a list of their Italian counterparts.

And for those who simply love life we offer three different rooms with three distinct dining experiences: an upbeat bar area, a quieter dining room, and a mezzanine perfect for large groups or private events.

Cafe Brio – 944 Fort St.  (Listed as Italian … but not a ‘traditional’ kind of Italian restaurant – I think it’s more of an Italian-style restaurant with amazingly good house made charcuterie and lovely cheeses as well as pasta and other amazing food!)

Hours:  7 nights per week for dinner starting at 5:30

From land to sea Café Brio’s menu focuses on regional products. Flavour pairing comes naturally when using products that come from the same region. Sauces are often kept simple or light as not to mask the natural flavours found in our local quality ingredients.

We have strong local farm resources almost year round. Beyond organics my commitment is to BC farms first for produce.

Zambri’s – 820 Yates St.

Hours:  Lunch  Monday through Saturday  11:30am–3:00pm

Sunday Brunch  10:30am–2:30pm

Dinner  Sunday through Thursday 5–9pm  Friday & Saturday 5–10p

Zambri’s is Victoria’s best Italian restaurant.
Our award winning menu, our unique wine list, our stunning location and our great staff will make your next experience a memorable one.

Also, not to brag, we are the only certified “Authentic Italian Restaurant” by the Italian Chamber of Commerce, on Vancouver Island.
